The Vision · 20-Acre Campus
The Problem

A global culture powerhouse with no place to build.

Jamaica defines global music, film, and storytelling. Yet there is no professional film soundstage on the island and almost no purpose-built creative infrastructure.

International productions use Jamaica as a scenic backdrop. Flying in crews, short limited gigs, taking the long term jobs, the investment, and the intellectual property home with them.

Local talent either leaves to build careers abroad or stays stuck in low-upside, small-scale work. We aren't just missing infrastructure; we're missing the engine for the economy's next chapter.

The Solution

Three pillars. One campus.

World-Class Infrastructure

Soundstages, recording suites, post-production, and tech coworking all built to global standards for tier-one productions.

Talent Retention

Paid residencies, masterclasses and on island employment pipelines that turn local creators into world-class technicians.

Value Capture

Moving from a service only economy to an IP owning hub that keeps the financial upside of Caribbean culture at home.

04
The Long Game

Phase 4 · The 20-Acre Campus

Once demand is proven, identify and acquire a 20+ acre lot, then transition operations from the rented hub to the permanent, purpose-built campus.

Phase 3 · Summer 2026

The Temporary Hub: Creative Campus.

Before the full 20+ acre campus is built, The Complex will launch in Summer 2026 as a compact creative hub inside a rented warehouse or commercial space.

It will combine affordable studios, content-ready sets, co-working, events, the mobile studio, and a small café / ice cream shop creating daily footfall and multiple revenue lines while the permanent site is being sourced.

In collaboration with our future film soundstages and temporary film spaces, the hub will also support in-house projects giving The Complex a working production base providing opportunities before the full campus opens.

Why Summer 2026 in a physical space?

01

Launching in Summer 2026 aligns with growing demand for local creative infrastructure and rising interest from Jamaican artists, brands, and international partners.

02

It lets The Complex move beyond concept and prove the model with real people, real sessions, and real transactions while the full site is being sourced.

03

The temporary hub is not a "placeholder" it is the first live chapter of The Complex, a working blueprint that will shape the design, programming, and economic model of the permanent open-campus creative ecosystem.

In-House IP in Development

The Complex is also a production house.

Beyond venue and infrastructure The Complex is developing original formats that turn the campus itself into a creative engine for film, music, tech, and culture.

Backlot: The Social Experiment

A reality gameshow style format. The show follows real early-stage founders for approximately six months+ as they build products, new businesses, test ideas, collaborate with creatives and launch in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

  • 01 · Spotlight

Spotlight early founders and builders overlooked by traditional media.

  • 02 · Reality

Show real failures, pivots, wins, and collaboration as they happen.

  • 03 · Living Set

Use the hub, mobile studio, café, and future film spaces as living sets.

Why The Complex Makes Sense

Not waiting for the ecosystem. Creating the conditions.

World-class infrastructure in an accessible, affordable location with fewer visa frictions than traditional hubs in the US, Europe, or Asia.

Reliable power, fast internet, professional spaces, and a vibrant community so creators and builders can focus on shipping, not logistics.

Demand exists. Online impressions, brand interest, and soft investor commitments are already in motion. The Complex turns that gravity into infrastructure.

As the only non-tech / non-hardware project in that cohort, and the first project selected from Jamaica, The Complex represented creative and cultural infrastructure inside a largely tech-focused Web3 ecosystem.
